Project-based learning in lower secondary school

Project-based learning enables our students to learn independently and in a theme- and interest-led manner, to develop creative solutions, to cooperate, and to build sustainable action and design competencies. Our students are supported in discovering their own strengths and inclinations, unfolding their potential, and preparing for the requirements of the future.

The project themes enable age-appropriate engagement with one’s own immediate surroundings (“My Little World”), the environment (“Water”), society (“Democracy”), the responsibility of the individual in their living environment (“Climate Change”), and their own future perspectives (“Life Paths”). In each year group, at least one interdisciplinary teaching project should take place in which the entire year group participates. Collaborations with extra-curricular partners and the presentation of products to an audience play central roles.
