Full-Day School and Cafeteria

As a full-day school, Gesamtschule Bremen Ost offers its students more time for learning, discovering, and participating. On several days per week, students also have lessons in the afternoon. During the lunch break, they can eat freshly prepared meals in the cafeteria. Different dishes are available every day—at least one of them is vegetarian.

Supervised learning periods for homework and support, as well as diverse working groups, are integrated into the regular school day. Social learning is also a fixed component of the timetable for grades 5-8.

During breaks and after lessons, middle school students can spend time in the common room. Here they can play table football, table tennis, or board games, relax, and strengthen their social skills along the way. Even in cases of unavoidable lesson cancellations, the common room provides a safe and engaging area where students are well looked after and supervised.

Our diverse partnerships with Bremen clubs as well as cultural and educational partners expand the curricular offering and ensure that our students have access to a wide range of extracurricular learning locations.
